The two blockchains, Ethereum and Polygon, outperformed Bitcoin with over 15 million users each, while Bitcoin registered only 10.65 million users, says blockchain analytics firm Flipside.
Polygon, operating as a Layer-2 scaling network, almost matched Ethereum in its user acquisition in 2023.
Polygon reported having 15.24 million users in 2023, falling slightly short of Ethereum's 15.4 million.
The term “acquired” refers to users who conducted at least two transactions on a particular blockchain, with at least one transaction having taken place in 2023 according to Flipside.
