      The US markets closed marginally higher to start the week despite the key indices trading sharply lower for most of the session as investor fears of tightened monetary policy sparked a sell-off before investors bought in at the dip. Peloton shares jumped almost 10% on Monday after activist investor Blackwells Capital called for the company to fire its CEO John Foley and explore a sale. A spotlight on General Motors as shares in the automaker dipped on Monday ahead of the company?s announcements on Tuesday regarding a major investment in electric vehicles, including plans to invest 6.5 billion US dollars into two electric vehicle plants in Michigan and create around 4000 jobs at the two sites. Twitter Blue subscribers are now able to use NFTs that they own as their verified profile pictures as the popular social media platform jumps on the NFT display picture bandwagon.
