Patriot Battery Metals (ASX:PMT) has announced an update on the 2023 drill campaign underway at its wholly-owned Corvette property in the James Bay Region of Quebec, reporting a further extension of the CV5 pegmatite.

The lithium explorer says the CV5 pegmatite extends eastwardly by a further 500m since February, and the pegmatite has been traced continuously by drilling over a lateral distance of at least 3.15km and remains open along strike at both ends and to depth.

Pariot's VP of Exploration, Darren L. Smith says although hindered by an uncharacteristically warm winter period, limiting amenability of ice-based drilling, the company has been able to meet and exceed its Winter program objectives:

"In terms of meterage drilling and new spodumene discovered, we are now within approximately 1.5km of the CV4 Pegmatite cluster to the east and have just begun to step-out westwardly towards the CV13 Pegmatite cluster."
