Humanity Protocol has introduced itself as a competitive alternative to the widely recognised digital identity project, Worldcoin, promoting a less intrusive method of identity verification than iris scans.

The protocol recently announced the completion of an investment round, garnering support from significant players in the crypto industry like Animoca Brands and Polygon.

It successfully secured strategic funding from over 20 crypto-focused venture capital funds including Hashed, CMCC, Cypher Capital, Foresight Ventures, and Mechanism Capital on February 28, although the specific amount raised was not disclosed.

The collaboration with influential entities such as Animoca Brands and Polygon Labs for its development marked a significant endorsement, with personal investment involvement from Animoca Brands’ Yat Siu and Polygon's Sandeep Nailwal.

This move underscores the protocol's vision to foster a more human-centric layer for Web3, leveraging substantial backing from the crypto investment community to achieve this aim.
