Regenerative medicine company has applied to the Therapeutic Goods Administration for Australian market approval for its SmrtGraft tendon repair device.

The submission brings the company closer to introducing SmrtGraft into the Australian tendon repair and regeneration market.

All 18 patients involved in the study experienced tendon repair without requiring further surgeries for re-tear, a common issue in similar surgeries.

The SmrtGraft device is designed to protect surgically repaired tendons and promote cell migration and proliferation at the repair site.
