Orion Minerals reported assay results from the inaugural diamond drilling program at its Flat Mine South site within the Okiep Copper Project in the Northern Cape, South Africa.

Results include an intersection of 20.50m at 4.99% copper within a broader 43m at 3.41% copper in drill hole OFMSD077.

Orion Minerals' Managing Director and CEO Errol Smart emphasised that the results show that the Flat Mines complex contains very high-grade copper sulphide mineralisation within moderate-grade intrusive zones.

The Flat Mine South site, identified as a virgin discovery, will be pivotal to Orion's early production strategy for the Okiep Copper Project.

The mineralisation remains open for 200m down-dip, suggesting potential for further resource expansion.
