Norwest Minerals (ASX:NWM) has received assay results for its maiden 33-hole drilling program at its Bali project in Western Australia, confirming broad intervals of significant copper mineralisation.
Norwest Minerals says some of the results include 52m @ 1.4 Cu from 0m including 12m @ 4.4% Cu from 4m, and 17m @ 0.5% Cu from 3m including 1m @ 3.7 Cu from 5m.
Its CEO Charles Schaus says it's the first drilling undertaken at Bali since 1989 and the results are encouraging, with all prospects returning one or more wide drill intersections of copper mineralisation.
Following the announcement, shares of Norwest Minerals were up 45%.
