Krist Novoselic, co-founder and bassist of Nirvana, led a shareholder proposal urging Microsoft to reassess its approach to generative artificial intelligence (AI).

The proposal, titled 'Shareholder Proposal 13: Report on AI Misinformation and Disinformation', was submitted by Arjuna Capital on behalf of Novoselic and other shareholder groups.

Microsoft's board dismissed the proposal, claiming their current and upcoming reports adequately address these issues, leading to the proposal's failure in a shareholder vote.
