New Zealand Coastal Seafoods Limited (NZS) has restructured its Christchurch seafood processing facility, changing its business model to focus on toll processing for third parties.

The move, which resulted in savings of approximately NZ$600,000 per annum in operating costs, is expected to bring higher revenue and lead to profitability.

Additionally, the company has started its first monthly shipment of whole Ling fish to China, as part of a 12-month supply contract with Gold Saint International Resources, which is valued at NZ$2.4 million.

NZS also operates an Australian business, Nine Ocean, which processes, sells, and distributes high-end seafood products using sustainable practices.
