Australian bio-materials company Nanollose signed a memorandum of agreement with tech company Greenspace to supply them with MicroGel, a soilless growing medium.
MicroGel, which is bio-based, biodegradable, and space-efficient for shipping and storage, has undergone trials in Greenspace's micro-farming facilities.
Initially, Nanollose will provide Greenspace with 5kg of MicroGel from its first pilot production run. Later, Greenspace will have exclusive access to MicroGel for the commercial microgreen market in Australia.
The agreement follows Nanollose's expansion of soilless growing substrate technology.
