From Airbnb housing 100,000 refugees for free, to Uber offering unlimited Uber rides, and Starlink satellite service from SpaceX, multinational companies are throwing their support behind Ukraine amid Russia?s invasion of the country.
Some users of Airbnb are even booking ?virtual? stays in Ukraine to support homeowners in the region without any intention of ever completing their stay.
Samsung, the leading seller of smartphones in Russia, has not only suspended shipments to Russia but is also donating 6 million dollars to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.
Ryanair has suspended all flights to Ukraine in favour of using its aircraft to deliver medical aids to the invaded country, while Wizz Air is offering 100,000 free seats for Ukrainian refugees to escape.
Other big name companies have donated cash, including IKEA donating 22 million US dollars, Lego donating 16 million US dollars and Amazon donating 5 million US dollars.
Ukraine may be small compared to Russia, but the support behind the invaded nation stretches around the world.
