Moelis & Co. (NYSE:MC) is conducting an investigation after a video surfaced online showing a man identified as one of the firm’s senior bankers allegedly punching a woman.

The video, which has circulated widely on social media platform X, depicts the man striking the woman, causing her to fall to the ground.

The man, with a visibly wet jacket, is seen walking away from the scene amidst criticism from onlookers.

In response to inquiries, Moelis & Co. stated, “We have become aware that one of our employees was involved in a serious incident in Brooklyn on June 8. We take this matter very seriously and are conducting an investigation.”

The online post identifies the man as Jonathan Kaye, a managing director leading the business services franchise at the New York-based investment bank.

When asked for a comment, Kaye declined to respond.

The video does not show the events leading up to the altercation, which took place as thousands gathered in the Park Slope neighborhood for Brooklyn Pride celebrations.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) has acknowledged awareness of the video.

“We encourage anyone who has been a victim to file a police report. There are currently no complaint reports on file,” the NYPD said in an email statement.
