True North Copper reported findings from its recent rock chip sampling program at the Aquila and Ivena North prospects within its 100% owned Mt Oxide Project, situated about 140km north of Mt Isa in Queensland.
The systematic rock chip sampling program identified strongly anomalous zones of copper and other pathfinder elements, unveiling new areas of mineralisation.
At the Aquila prospect, six zones with copper anomalies were detected, including the Aquila B Trend, which returned peak copper assays of up to 0.94%.
The Ivena North prospect also demonstrated results, with assays showcasing up to 1.38% copper in identified trends.
True North's Managing Director, Bevan Jones, commented, "Our exploration team has been working hard to systematically map and sample the +10km Dorman fault trend at Mt Oxide."
"Multiple gossans have been identified, and rock chip results from the gossans are revealing large areas of wider and stronger mineralisation on which to focus our future exploration work," Jones added.
The ongoing MIMDAS induced polarisation and magnetotellurics geophysical survey is being integrated with the rock chip results to further delineate potential geophysical anomalies.
The effort aims to aid the identification of drilling targets and enhance the scope of exploration at the Mt Oxide Project.
Future work at the Mt Oxide Project includes systematic rock chip sampling over new targets, further infill sampling to delineate geochemical anomalies, and prioritising these targets for upcoming drill programs.
True North Copper is a copper, cobalt and critical minerals mining company. The company's projects include the Cloncurry Project, Mt Oxide Project and Bundarra Project.
