Sarytogan Graphite (ASX:SGA) has provided an update on its Baynazar copper exploration project in Kazakhstan, reporting copper anomalism with potential porphyry features at its Aminbay prospect.
The company’s exploration initiatives included a high-resolution aero-magnetic survey and the collection of over 6,000 soil samples.
An external exploration review validated previous results at the Ilken prospect and identified three new anomalies at Aminbay.
The findings suggest textbook metal zonation and aeromagnetic characteristics indicative of potential porphyry intrusion.
Sarytogan plans to infill and extend its soil sampling in the areas, progressing towards planning future drilling endeavours.
The ongoing exploration has been facilitated through Kazakhstan’s advantageous mining conditions, renowned for low-cost operations among copper producers.
Managing Director Sean Gregory commented, "Kazakhstan is an established mining jurisdiction. This second target generated at the Baynazar Copper Exploration Project is named ‘Aminbay’ and looks very promising."
Further updates will be announced following the receipt of additional assay results from the Baynazar project.
