Rumble Resources (ASX:RTR) reported an upgrade to its mineral resource estimate for the Western Queen Gold Project in Western Australia.
The revised MRE now stands at 4.42 million tonnes at 2.02 g/t gold, translating to a total of 286,600 ounces.
This marks a 76% increase in indicated and inferred resources compared to the previous estimate in August 2021.
Indicated resources saw a remarkable growth of 142%, making up 56% of the total MRE.
The project benefits from proximity to three gold processing facilities, with the nearest being Spartan’s Dalgaranga Mill.
Historical mining operations have already yielded substantial quantities from the site.
Peter Harold, Managing Director and CEO of Rumble Resources, commented on the development, stating, "We believe that Western Queen is one of the most underexplored high-grade gold projects in Western Australia."
"The 76% increase in contained ounces is an extremely positive development for Rumble and highlights the quality of the resources at Western Queen," Harold added.
Further drilling programs are planned, targeting underexplored areas along the 2.7 km Western Queen Shear Zone.
The company intends to conduct 12,000m of reverse circulation and diamond drilling over the coming months.
The enhancements illustrate the untapped potential of the Western Queen project and the prospects for increasing high-grade gold resources as Rumble Resources continues exploration activities.
At the time of reporting, Rumble Resources' share price was $0.059.
