Omnia Metals Group (ASX:OM1) has commenced on-ground exploration at its Ord Basin Project in northern Western Australia.

This follows the identification of two high-priority zones for exploration.

The company's exploration plans at the Ord Basin include auger sampling, set to begin on Oct. 8.

Omnia's regulatory approval process for drilling test new gold and copper targets at the Salt Creek Project, also located in Western Australia, has progressed, with plans well underway for multiple exploration programs.

"We've maintained a disciplined approach to advancing exploration across our portfolio and specifically on our gold, copper, gold, and nickel assets in Western Australia," said James Warren, Executive Director of Omnia Metals Group.

"We look forward to mobilising and commencing work in just over a week's time," Warren added.

The exploration activities at the Ord Basin Project will focus on copper-nickel sulphide and carbonatite/kimberlite-related mineralisation, monitored collaboratively with representatives from the Purnululu people.

Omnia aims to determine the mineralisation potential through comprehensive geochemical assessments.

At the Salt Creek Project, Omnia has secured Program of Work approval for up to 5,000m of reverse circulation drilling.

The company is in consultation with the Upurli Upurli native title group to complete the necessary heritage surveys, anticipating feedback in the coming weeks.
