Mamba Exploration (ASX:M24) has announced results from its inaugural spring 2024 drilling program at the Canary Project, Eastern Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan.
Key highlights from the drilling include confirmed uranium mineralisation in two drill holes, indicating a uranium-fertile system within the bedrock.
Simon Andrew, Executive Director of Mamba, stated, "The confirmation of uranium mineralisation at the Canary Project, particularly in the initial phase of drilling, is an encouraging step forward. The results highlight the potential of this underexplored region, and we are eager to pursue further exploration to unlock its full value."
Sean Hillacre, President and Vice President of Exploration of Standard Uranium, added, "Intersecting anomalous uranium and pathfinder elements associated with zones of hydrothermal alteration in a completely untested area on the first of three conductive corridors on the Canary project is very encouraging. The technical team and I are excited to continue our exploration efforts with our partners at Mamba."
The Project spans 7,302 hectares and is managed under a three-year earn-in option agreement with Standard Uranium.
Analytical results showed multiple zones of elevated uranium in the basement rock, influenced by structural zones and lithological contacts. Future exploration plans include supplementary geophysical surveys across three underexplored conductor systems to refine targets for Phase 2 and 3 drilling.
Mamba Exploration is an ASX-listed exploration company focused on gold, nickel and copper exploration. The company’s projects include Darling Range, Calyerup Creek, Ashburton, Kimberly and Canary Uranium projects.
