Evolution Energy Minerals (ASX:EV1) has initiated the early contractor involvement process for the design and construction of the process plant at its Chilalo Coarse Flake Graphite Project in Tanzania.

The move marks a step in reaching the project's final investment decision in 2025.

The ECI process will culminate in an engineering, procurement, and construction tender proposal.

It is designed to integrate international engineering groups into the EPC selection, fostering collaboration in design and risk management.

Shortlisting from the expression of interest process concluded earlier this January, Evolution plans to invite two parties for the final EPC bid.

The development underscores the company's commitment to making the Chilalo Project execution-ready upon reaching FID.

"The EOI process received a high level of interest from a number of respected international engineering firms," stated George Donne, CEO of Evolution Energy Minerals.

"Our priority is that the development and construction of Chilalo is completed in as cost-efficient and timely manner as possible," Donne added.

Evolution Energy Minerals is engaged in the exploration and development of its Chilalo Graphite Project in southern Tanzania. The company's high-grade mineralized zones are Chilalo East and Chilalo E2.

At the time of reporting, Evolution Energy Minerals' share price was $0.022.
