Euro Manganese (ASX:EMN) said its wholly owned subsidiary, Mangan Chvaletice, has secured the determination of mining lease permit for the Chvaletice Manganese Project in the Czech Republic.

The development marks a critical milestone in the project’s progress towards full permitting.

The permit, issued by the District Mining Authority for the Hradec Králové, Pardubice, Liberec, and Vysočina regions, replaces all previous authorisations and grants Mangan Chvaletice exclusive rights to mineral extraction within the project area.

With no expiration date, the permit provides legal protection and paves the way for the next phases of the project.

Martina Blahova, Interim CEO of Euro Manganese, emphasised the importance of the achievement, noting that it reflects collaboration between Euro Manganese, federal and regional regulators, and host communities.

Blahova stated, "This milestone brings us closer to establishing a commercial-scale facility for producing high-purity manganese, a crucial material for the global transition to a greener economy and decarbonization efforts."

Euro Manganese is advancing the Chvaletice Manganese Project, a unique waste-to-value opportunity that involves reprocessing old mine tailings.

The project is the largest known manganese resource in the European Union and positions the company as a key player in supplying critical raw materials to support the global shift to a low-carbon economy.
