Dalaroo Metals confirms prospectivity of Browns prospect
Mining
Dalaroo Metals (ASX:DAL) reported results from its diamond drilling program at the Browns prospect, part of the Lyons River Project in Western Australia.
The results confirm the prospectivity of Broken Hill Type lead-zinc mineralisation, with assay results up to 1.1% zinc.
The drilling program, partly funded by the Western Australia's Exploration Incentive Scheme, tested a base metal target extending over 6km2.
Significant intervals of sulphides within the metasediments were reported, indicating potential for further exploration success.
The Lyons River Project, located in the Gascoyne Province, includes a land position of 838km2 known for its high-grade metamorphic rocks.
The drilling findings align with the project's geological setting, reinforcing the site's potential for hosting substantial sedimentary exhalative deposits.
"Akin to Broken Hill, the rocks have undergone high-grade metamorphism, generating promising mineral assemblages," noted Michael Brown, Managing Director of Dalaroo Metals.
As exploration continues, further drilling is planned to delineate and expand these promising mineral zones across the Lyons River Project.
Dalaroo Metals is an ASX-listed gold and base metals explorer. The company’s projects include the Namban Project and the Lyons River Project.
At the time of reporting, Dalaroo Metals' share price was $0.025.
