BCI Minerals (ASX:BCI) has received approval from the Commonwealth Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water for its Groundwater Monitoring and Management Plan.

The critical approval paves the way for BCI to proceed with full-scale operations at its Mardie Project.

With this Commonwealth approval, alongside previous permits from the Western Australian Government, BCI can now begin filling the remaining operational ponds (Ponds 4 through 9) and start commissioning the crystallisers at the site.

BCI's Managing Director, David Boshoff, commented, "This is a major milestone in the development of Australia's newest and largest solar salt project. With all necessary environmental approvals now in place, we are fully focused on safely delivering a world-class operation that will supply premium industrial salt to global market."
