AIC Mines (ASX:A1M) has extended high-grade copper mineralisation by 500 metres north at its Jericho copper deposit.

The extension is a result of three important drilling programs targeting the northern and southern limits of the Jericho resource and exploring the Roberts Creek Au-Cu prospect.

AIC Mines, a growth-focused Australian resources company, announced significant intercepts from the Jericho North program, including 5m grading 3.06% Cu and 0.21g/t Au from 434m (JEDD052) and 7m grading 2.03% Cu and 0.51g/t Au from 165m (JEDD055).

AIC Mines' Managing Director, Aaron Colleran, said, "The more we drill at Jericho the more we learn and the bigger it gets. These recent results have the potential to materially increase the mine life at Jericho and also improve the mining schedule in the early years of the operation."

Exploration to the south of Jericho also returned positive results, with intercepts such as 2.4m grading 1.66% Cu and 0.23g/t Au from 101.4m (JEDD049).

The mineralisation at Jericho is now defined over a 5km strike length.

At the Roberts Creek prospect, located 15km west of the Eloise mine, drilling also returned encouraging results, including 3.0m grading 3.07g/t Au and 1.48% Cu from 228m (RBDD001).

The extension and new findings in the exploration projects have reinforced AIC Mines' commitment to expanding its copper and gold asset portfolio in Australia.

At the time of reporting, AIC Mines' share price was $0.34.
