Aguia Resources reports gold and copper grades in El Dovio Project reassessment

Aguia Resources (ASX:AGR) announced a significant reinterpretation of the El Dovio Project in Colombia, revealing high-grade gold and copper mineralisation.

The update follows an extensive re-examination of historic drill core, trench, and exploration adit channel sampling data.

Highlights of the project include impressive mineralisation with grades up to 16m of 11.7 g/t gold and 2.24% copper over 2.1m, amongst other noteworthy intercepts.

Aguia's analysis diverges from previous interpretations by Colombian Mines, now recognising El Dovio's geology as hosting extensive polymetallic gold-copper-silver-zinc mineralisation.

Metallurgical test work conducted by McClelland Laboratories demonstrated exceptional metal recoveries—96.4% for gold and 97.8% for copper.

"This re-evaluation challenges our understanding of El Dovio, suggesting a more complex geological setting," stated Warwick Grigor, Non-Executive Chairman.

The company confirms the El Dovio property's mineralised zones are structurally controlled and exhibit significant economic potential.

The reinterpretation is expected to influence future exploration efforts, highlighting the importance of further understanding tectonic influences on mineral deposition at El Dovio.

Aguia Resources is a multi-commodity company with pre-production phosphate projects located in Rio Grande do Sul, the southernmost state of Brazil. The company controls over 1,834km2 of land in the Brazilian states of Rio Grande do Sul, Paraiba and Minas Gerais containing phosphate and copper mineralization through exploration permits.
