Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) has reached a settlement regarding an antitrust complaint filed by the Cloud Infrastructure Services Providers in Europe (CISPE), the company and the trade group announced on Wednesday.

The complaint centered around Microsoft's cloud computing licensing practices, which CISPE claimed were unfair.

Under the terms of the settlement, Microsoft will develop a new product that allows CISPE members to operate Microsoft software on their own platforms using Microsoft's Azure cloud infrastructure.

This will be offered at pricing levels equivalent to what Microsoft charges for its services.

Additionally, Microsoft has agreed to compensate CISPE members for revenue losses they incurred due to the licensing practices over the past two years.
