Women today are excelling in all fields and becoming increasingly independent, yet new research shows men are 62% more likely to make all the financial decisions than women.
That?s according to the Australian Investor Sentiment Report 2022 by Chillur which also found that one in ten people admit that money is a constant source of friction in their relationship.
Additionally, 86% of Aussies have savings but despite them seeing little to no growth, one in two are putting money into their savings account every payday.
The average Australian has just over $39,000 in savings as of August.
That?s a 75% increase in just six months with high levels of inflation and increasing interest rates believed to be behind the rise in people holding onto their cash.
