Maximus Resources discovered coarse spodumene-bearing pegmatites at its Lefroy Lithium Project.

The discovery resulted from comprehensive project-wide soil sampling. Initial field inspections identified several pegmatites with sizeable coarse spodumene crystals reaching up to 20cm in length.

Assay results from the new 'Bird Rock' prospect include lithium oxide grades of 3.54%, 2.19%, 1.54%, and 1.40%.

"These results further expand the number of priority lithium targets at the company's Lefroy Lithium Project," said Managing Director Tim Wither.

The Lefroy Project benefits from a joint venture with the Korean Government's mining agency, KOMIR, which is providing $3 million in funding to acquire a 30% interest in the project.
