Decentralized finance leader MakerDAO recently declared that users of its new lending platform, Spark Protocol, will be blocked from using virtual private networks (VPN). Attempts to access the site with VPN will result in an error prompt.
Spark Protocol, which was introduced in May, enables users to earn up to 8% annual returns by lending DAI.
This decision has sparked criticism within the decentralized finance community, with some asserting that prioritizing profit over privacy and individual rights is concerning.
