South African cryptocurrency exchange Luno has announced its integration with Fireblocks' enterprise-grade digital asset transfer platform, aiming to facilitate faster and more efficient digital asset transactions.

The announcement, made on July 17, marks a significant step towards enhancing the transactional capabilities and user experience on the Luno platform.

Fireblocks Network Link, a platform designed for developing applications and managing digital assets, will enable Luno users to perform transactions seamlessly without the need to repeatedly log into their accounts.

This integration connects Luno users to over 1,800 liquidity partners, trading platforms, and counterparties, streamlining the process for both retail and institutional customers.

Aleks Andjelopolj, Luno’s general manager for retail and institutional products, emphasized the benefits of this integration, stating that it represents a significant advancement towards greater institutional adoption of digital assets.

By leveraging Fireblocks, Luno can offer its customers instant access to its services via Luno’s API and the Fireblocks Network Link.

This will result in immediate transaction settlements akin to those enjoyed by customers within the same banking institution.

Moreover, the integration allows Luno to maintain comprehensive control over the user experience on its app, ensuring that transactions remain cost-effective and compliant with regulatory standards.

Luno will also retain full control over managing user permissions necessary for accessing its services, ensuring a secure and tailored experience for its users.

In addition to enhancing transaction speed and efficiency, this integration is expected to bolster Luno's appeal to both retail and institutional investors.

By offering a more seamless and connected experience, Luno aims to attract a broader user base and strengthen its position in the competitive cryptocurrency exchange market.
