Lucapa Diamond Company has recovered the largest pink diamond to ever be recovered over the last 300 years.

The 170 carat pink stone was recovered from Lucapa?s Lulu mine in Angola and nicknamed ?Lulo Rose?.

?Lulo is an exceptional alluvial resource and it is truly a gift. We are once again made very proud by yet another historic recovery. We too look forward to our partnership progressing its exploration effort, where we are now bulk sampling the priority kimberlites in search of the primary kimberlite sources of these exceptional and high-value diamonds,? said Lucapa Diamond Company Managing Director Stephen Wetherall.

The rare pink diamond is the 27th diamond of over 100 carats to be recovered from Lucapa?s Lulo concession, which holds the record for the largest diamond ever recovered in Angola: the 404-carat ?Fourth February Stone?.
