Lucapa Diamond plans to sell its 70% stake in the Mothae Diamond mine following a board review and consultations with the Lesotho Government. The company is finalising a data room for potential buyers.

Mothae, situated in Lesotho's diamond-rich Maluti Mountains, has been operational since 2019 and is known for producing high-value diamonds.

Lucapa Chairman Stuart Brown stated that the decision aligns with the company's strategy of focusing on core assets in Africa and Australia.

The move is part of Lucapa's broader strategy to concentrate on key mining assets, including the Lulo diamond mine in Angola and the Merlin Diamond Project in Australia's Northern Territory.
