Battery Minerals company Lithium Energy (ASX:LEL) has begun drilling for graphite at its Corella prospect in Queensland.
The drilling program aims to delineate a mineral resource at Corella to add to the company's existing graphite resources, which it plans to use in lithium-ion batteries.
Lithium Energy says drilling will comprise a combination of 20 reverse circulation holes totalling 2,000m to a maximum depth of 90m, and 2 diamond core holes totalling 200m to maximum depths of 100m.
The company is also conducting metallurgical and anode test work on graphite material recovered from its Burke deposit.
