Liontown Resources was awarded a 15-year contract to supply liquefied natural gas to Mid-West LNG, a subsidiary of Clean Energy Fuels Australia.

The LNG will power the 95 MW Hybrid Power Station at the Kathleen Valley Lithium Project.

The station, which consists of wind turbines, solar panels, battery storage, and gas and diesel generators, aims to operate primarily on renewable energy.

LNG supply will commence in January 2024 to support the plant's early commissioning activities, aligning with Liontown's goal of achieving at least 60% renewable energy usage.
