LINE NEXT, the NFT arm of Asian messaging giant LINE, has successfully raised $140 million for its upcoming NFT platform, "DOSI."
The funding round, led by Crescendo Equity Partners, marks the largest investment in Asia's Web3 sector for the year.
DOSI, set to launch in early 2024, aims to enhance mobile app accessibility and focus on integrating Japanese services and brands.
Since its beta launch in September 2022, DOSI has seen considerable use across Asia, indicating a growing interest in NFTs in the region.
LINE NEXT plans to use the funding to promote digital ownership and introduce Web3 games featuring its popular "BROWN & FRIENDS" characters.
