    Latitude Group Holdings (ASX:LFS) reports stolen data in cyberattack

    Latitude Financial (ASX:LFS) has detected a sophisticated and malicious cyberattack originating from a major vendor used by the company.

    The attacker was able to obtain employee login credentials and steal personal information from two service providers, including approximately 103,000 identification documents and 225,000 customer records.

    Latitude Financial says it's taking steps to contact affected customers, has alerted relevant law enforcement agencies, and is cooperating with the Australian Cyber Security Centre and engaging cyber security specialists to assist with its response.

    The company emphasised it's doing everything in its power to contain the incident and prevent the theft of further customer data.
