Koba Resources (ASX:KOB) has bought a mine next to Canada?s only operating lithium mine.

Its new Whitlock project covers about 145km squared, located immediately along strike from the existing Tanco mine.

Koba says lithium reserves in the area include a findings of 7.3Mt @ 2.76% Li2O1.

CEO Ben Vallerine says the addition of a lithium project to its portfolio of high-grade cobalt assets is a logical progression as it continues to focus on battery metals to support the EV revolution and the electrification of the global economy.
