Kingsland Minerals (ASX:KNG) has announced a JORC 2012 Exploration Target for its Leliyn graphite discovery in the Northern Territory of 200Mt to 250Mt grading 8% to 11% TGC for contained graphite of between 16Mt and 27Mt.

The Exploration Target is based on historical drill results, petrographical analysis, and field reconnaissance conducted by KIngsland Minerals, and highlights the potential for a significant flake graphite deposit over a 20km strike.

Its Managing Director, Richard Maddocks says the potential scale of the Leliyn graphite project easily qualifies as a globally significant tier one asset in a tier one location:

"We are now preparing a drilling program to progress the Leliyn graphite project, focussing on a 5km section of the total 20km length of graphitic schists within our tenement package."
