JPMorgan has revealed that its JPM Coin processed billions in transactions with Ant International, the global arm of Ant Group, known for Alipay.

This collaboration aims to decentralise by allowing clients to host blockchain nodes.

The bank's report explores programmability in banking and payments, showcasing JPM Coin and Programmable Payments from Onyx at J.P. Morgan.

Utilising Quorum and Enterprise Ethereum standards, JPM Coin currently operates as a single-bank platform with future plans for client node hosting.

Ant International, part of Ant Group, supports cross-border mobile payments via Alipay+ across 57 markets with 25 digital wallets, serving 88 million merchants globally and collaborating extensively with global financial institutions.
