JB Hi-Fi (ASX:JBH) has reported third quarter sales were in line with expectations, despite facing a challenging and competitive landscape. 

The retailer managed to hold its ground, with sales figures meeting the company's expectations for the period. 

“We are pleased with our Q3 FY24 sales results. Our trusted value-based offerings and high levels of customer service continue to resonate with our customers,” said Group Chief Executive Officer of JB Hi-Fi, Terry Smart.

JB Hi-Fi Australia saw a near-stable performance with minor fluctuations, while JB Hi-Fi New Zealand experienced a notable increase in sales, indicating a varied performance across different markets.

The Good Guys, another retail chain operated by the group, faced a more challenging quarter, with sales dipping 7.3%.
