If you?ve been considering leaving your car at home and using public transport - this might be the push you need to make that change.
The Australian Automobile Association (AAA), has revealed the average weekly fuel costs rose more than 5 per cent to $100.39 a week across the country in the June quarter.
Hobart was the most expensive capital city while the average weekly cost of fuel in Perth was slightly below average at $95.71.
The fuel excise is due to expire on September 28 so that means motorists will be adding another 22 cents a litre to their fuel bill.
Public transport costs remained unchanged over the June quarter but that?s little comfort for those in the transport industry.
