Ironbark Zinc completed the acquisition of an 80% interest in the Simon and Anderson projects in Mt Isa, Queensland, from Aeon Metals (ASX:AML).

The Anderson Project has delivered initial exploration findings with copper surface samples recording values up to 2,977ppm Cu and the identification of outcropping pegmatites that may contain rare earth elements, tantalum, and niobium.

The Simon and Anderson projects, located respectively 90km north northwest and 30km west southwest of Mt Isa, are readily accessible via a mix of sealed and unsealed roads, facilitating year-round exploration.

Future efforts will focus on defining drill targets, potentially leading to a maiden drilling campaign within 12 months, primarily at the Anderson Project.
