Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has proposed linking the payment systems of all BRICS countries to facilitate seamless financial transactions and trade settlements.

Nasser Kanani, a spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, highlighted the geopolitical conditions favoring such integration, especially as trade payments increasingly shift to national currencies within the BRICS bloc.

The proposal aims to extend the successful model of integrating Russian and Iranian payment systems to include all BRICS nations, fostering closer economic ties and reducing dependency on international currencies.

Kanani emphasised the positive reception of this proposal by Russia, signaling potential cooperation among BRICS members to implement this initiative effectively.
