Iran and Russia have deepened their economic cooperation by engaging academic institutions in efforts to dedollarise their economies.

The presidents of Iran's Imam Hossein University and Russia's Plekhanov University of Economics signed a memorandum last week to reduce reliance on the U.S. dollar in international trade and finance.

The agreement includes scientific and academic exchanges, practical training, and internships for students and professors.

This partnership is part of a broader strategy to mitigate the impact of U.S. sanctions.

The collaboration underscores a trend towards fostering economic resilience and promoting alternative financial systems through academic cooperation.

This initiative reflects the ongoing efforts of both countries to strengthen their economic independence from the dollar.
