In March, IPH (ASX:IPH) detected unauthorised access to its document and practice management systems, affecting its head office and two Australian member firms.

IPH says its now restored key system functionality and implemented enhanced cybersecurity measures.

It also says an investigation determined a limited set of data from Spruson & Ferguson (Australia) was downloaded, which has led to affected clients being contacted.

IPH says its experienced a service charge budget shortfall of around $4.4M in March due to business disruption, with an estimated $2 to $2.5M incurred as non-underlying costs.
