Immortal Game, a blockchain-based chess game, is discontinuing its play-to-earn (P2E) and nonfungible token (NFT) functionalities due to extensive cheating issues.

The decision to disable both the in-game Checkmate token rewards and NFT gameplay modes aims to preserve the integrity of the game and enhance user experience.

The NFT marketplace for Immortal Game will be shut down, and players will no longer earn or use the Checkmate token (CMT) within the game.

Despite the discontinuation, existing NFTs will remain on-chain, but their display and use on the Immortal Game platform will cease.
