The Solana network just can?t seem to catch a break from hackers this year, with yet another attack taking place this week.

According to Solana?s Status Twitter account, up to US$8 million has been stolen so far from around 8,000 wallets that use the Solana network. The attack has only effected ?hot? wallets which are basically just your standard crypto wallets that are connected to the internet.

The cause of the breach is still unclear, although it?s suspected that the hack could be a ?supply chain attack?. It doesn?t appear to be an issue with Solana?s software, but rather the software that is used by the wallets that are operating on the Solana network.
