Exploration company Horizon Gold is exploring development options for its Gum Creek Gold Project in Western Australia.

A scoping study has been initiated to assess the feasibility of resuming production by utilising existing infrastructure at the Gidgee mill site, including haul roads, tailings dam, and water resources.

The study will focus on processing free-milling gold resources with throughput capacities ranging from two to three million tonnes annually, considering various mining schedules and economic cut-off grades.

The study will explore renewable and local grid power options, with an anticipated completion date in the first quarter of 2024.
