The Holograph (CRYPTO:HLG) token plummeted over 60% following an exploit that allowed an attacker to mint 1 billion new tokens.

The Holograph team has patched the exploit and is collaborating with centralised exchanges to freeze the exploiter's accounts.

On-chain data indicates the wallet acc01ade.eth was involved in the exploit, and a Github page lists the same handle as a contributor to the HLG project.

At current market prices, the stolen tokens are valued at over $6.7 million.

Holograph has launched an investigation and is contacting law enforcement.
