Great Western Exploration has finalised a drilling program at its Fairbairn Copper Project, approximately 900km northeast of Perth.

The exploratory effort tested three fixed-loop electromagnetic conductor targets spaced two to four kilometres apart, identified through geophysical surveys.

The drilling intersected graphitic shales and disseminated pyrite at modelled depths, likely responsible for the FLEM conductor responses.

Samples from the intersections have been sent for assaying, although significant copper results are not anticipated from the trace chalcopyrite intercepts.
