    Google Australia's 2023 revenue reaches $2B, cloud services surge, ad sales drop

    Google Australia reported $2 billion in local revenue for the year ending in December 2023, up 3% from the previous year.

    Google Australia transferred $7.2 billion in service fees to the broader Alphabet group (NASDAQ:GOOG).

    Cloud services saw a 37% increase in revenue to $329 million, while ad sales, including YouTube, Search, Maps, and Gmail, decreased by 7% to $808 million.

    The company's profit in Australia rose almost 17% to $319 million, with a tax payment of about $98 million.
