Gluwa, a platform dedicated to real-world asset transactions, is currently evaluating ways to help introduce a central bank digital currency (CBDC) in Liberia.

The firm sees the potential for this digital currency to positively transform financial transactions within the country and is committed to increasing the digital currency's adoption chances.

To achieve this, Gluwa is contemplating the establishment of a satellite-based internet service that would ensure broader and more reliable access to the digital currency across Liberia.

An integral strategy in their plan involves making the proposed digital currency compatible with Liberia’s existing mobile money system, further bridging the gap between traditional banking systems and digital financial solutions.
